Start with his hull. Build the rest yourself.
Harry is a boat builder, not a kit company. What he will sell you is the hard part: a hull pulled from one of his own molds, with a cored transom and a cored floor already in it. Everything above that is yours to build, with your own materials, on your own time.
What comes in a kit
- A hull pulled from a Spear Boatworks mold
- Cored transom
- Cored floor
What “cored” means
"Cored" means the foam core is already laid into the transom and floor, not just glass. Depending on the hull, that is either a raised floor on stringers or the core built into the floor itself. It is the structural work you would least want to do yourself.
What is not included
No materials, no written instructions, no video course, and no build support. Harry's materials go into the boats he is building, and his time goes with them.
So be honest with yourself about the job. Everything above that hull is on you, and it is real work. If you would rather fish than build, have Harry build the whole thing.
